Verdea from Ampelostrates, a wine deeply rooted in Zakynthian tradition. Local varieties that traditionally grew together in the island’s old vineyards come together here in a white wine with plenty of freshness and a little more depth. Spending 4–6 months in oak gives it time to soften and develop a fuller texture without losing its energy. Citrus, ripe white fruit, a distinct hint of freshly picked herbs, with the oak quietly sitting in the background. It’s the kind of wine that brings to mind green mountain slopes, sun-warmed stone and the cool air of the hills.
