Assyrtiko from Naoussa, ages for 12 months in barrels intentionally left half-full, allowing for slow oxidative contact with the air—hence the name 'Kapnistos' (Smoked). Deep gold in the glass and rich on the nose, with dried peach, butterscotch, honey, roasted almonds, and a subtle note of smoke and pipe tobacco.On the palate, it is full-bodied and buttery yet never flabby, as crisp acidity cuts through the richness, leading to a long, nutty finish.
